We’re excited to launch a new chapter tradition that puts connection and community at the heart of our work: the First Thursdays Happy Hour. This recurring informal gathering offers AAUP members a relaxed space to unwind, connect, and build the relationships that strengthen our chapter.

Why Attend? Whether you’re looking to decompress after a long day of classes, eager to share your thoughts and ideas about future directions for the chapter, or simply want to commiserate with like-minded colleagues who understand the unique challenges and joys of academic life, this is your space. No formal agenda, no presentations—just good conversation and collegial support in a comfortable setting.

Come as You Are: Drop in for a few minutes or stay for the whole evening. Meet new members, reconnect with familiar faces, and help us build the kind of vibrant, engaged community that makes our chapter strong.

There will be jazz starting at 5pm!

Location: The Vault Pub is located on the lower level of the IMU. From the Main level, proceed west toward the Quarry Pie Co and take the “Vault” elevator down.
